Laser Fault Injection Platform - Optical Assembly
3D-Printed Parts
The files shared here have been generated with OpenSCAD. You can refer to my OpenFlexure Project fork for sources.
Note
All parts can be printed from PLA. Black is preferred to avoid unwanted light reflections.

Main Optical Tube
Two M2
heat-set inserts are needed.
Beam Splitter Cube
A Beam Splitter, specified below, must slide into this part.
Laser Tube
Two M2
heat-set inserts are needed.
Laser Driver Board Holder
Four M2
heat-set inserts are required. Furthermore, a Collimating Lens, specified below, needs to be screwed and adjusted into this component.

Note
The following section includes links to AliExpress. I’m not sure how long these links will remain active, so I’ve also included images of the original items for your reference.
Laser Collimating Lens
The adjustable laser collimating lens was purchased from AliExpress as part of a complete laser diode housing kit.
Objective Lens
An objective lens was purchased from AliExpress. It is important to choose an infinity-corrected lens to ensure compatibility with the shared optical tube geometry.
Furthermore, when selecting a suitable objective lens, make sure that the “working distance” is sufficiently high to allow for the observation of the die of the target without physically touching the sample or the circuit board to which it is soldered.
Beam Splitter
The beam splitter selected for this project has the following properties:
- Size: 18mm x 12mm x 1.1mm
- Transmission coefficient: 10%
- Reflection coefficient: 90%
It was purchased from AliExpress.
Tube Lens
A tube lens was purchased from AliExpress. To ensure compatibility with the shared optical tube geometry, the following properties are required:
- Diameter: 12.7mm
- Focal Length: 50mm
